In 1994, South Africans voted in the nation’s first democratic election, ushering in a new era where artists could freely express themselves. To celebrate three decades of this creative freedom, the DStv Delicious Festival is expanding its focus to highlight not only outstanding food and music but also art and fashion, celebrating South Africa’s vibrant cultural landscape.
Leading the festivities will be multi-award-winning R&B/pop legend Janet Jackson, who has sold over 100 million records, and beloved neo-soul singer-songwriter Jill Scott, who will perform alongside a star-studded lineup of South African talent.

Now in its 11th year, South Africa’s most iconic lifestyle festival will take place over the heritage weekend, with each day featuring special performances honoring the legends of the South African music industry.
The “30 Years of Creative Freedom Show” on Saturday will feature a tribute to late, great South African artists, performed by a stellar ensemble including Boom Shaka, Cassper Nyovest, Focalistic, Khuli Chana, Maggz, Morafe, Okmalumkoolkat, Reason, Robot Boii, and Touchline. Additional performances on Saturday include Thandiswa Mazwai, G-Force on the decks, and the newly crafted DJ set “Legends Live by Oskido,” warming up the crowd for Janet Jackson’s evening performance.
Sunday will see the Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir uplifting spirits with their powerful live performance, joined by Sjava, The Maestro (aka Greg Maloka) on the decks, and another “Legends Live by Oskido” set, before Jill Scott closes the weekend with her smooth, soulful sounds.
